We were so impressed with the care and compassion showered on Mark’s dad and my father in-law. We have often told others when talking about Abraham House what special people work there. Our original home, Abraham House Utica, is a 2-bed home located on the corner of Kemble and Eagle streets. Formerly owned by Dr. A.L. Shaheen, he donated the property to be used to provide end of life care. Today, Abraham House offers extensive services to hundreds ofadults and children affected by incarceration or other social factors likepoverty, violence, and truancy, that may cause a family to live from crisis tocrisis. Abraham House is small in scale,modeling itself on a family rather than an institution. Giving a planned gift to Abraham House will ensure that our mission continues. Planned Gifts include bequests through a will, setting up a charitable remainder trust, naming Abraham House as beneficiary to life insurance policies or retirement plans and/or gifts of tangible personal property.
